That Michael Skakel and his family are bewildered and angered at the conviction is hardly surprising. From the very night of this horrible crime they conducted themselves in the expectation that he would get away with murder. There are numerous oft-repeated outright errors in the published literature on the Skakel case, in source materials from the Police interviews and the Sutton reports to Murder in Greenwich and Wealth of Evil. This is a good place to note true mistakes so they won't be copied into the future record.
